Conference Scientific Publications Digest
October 26-27, 2018 in Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University there was held the International Conference «The Modern Measure of Human Rights: The Constitutional Context» (XI Todyka’s Readings) organized by the Constitutional Law of Ukraine Department of Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University.
The Conference brought together about 200 participants from more than 30 universities and scientific institutions of Ukraine, Poland, Germany, Belarus and Russia.
The Conference was opened by the Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of the Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University, Doctor of Law, Professor Yuri Grigorievich Barabash. In his speech Vice-rector stated: “For me this event is remarkable, because we will discuss not only the human rights issues in the constitutional law context, we will also honor the prominent scientist, whose student I am proud to be – Yurii Mykolayovich Todyka. Regrettably, the life of Yurii Mykolayovich was not so long and many of his thoughts were not realized. He was the author of dozens of monographs, educational books and countless articles, presentations on conferences. However, the most important role for me had his lectures. The format of the youth conference, chosen for Todyka readings, seems to me the most appropriate, because especially in this kind of format the innovative results could be achieved. Y. M. Todyka loved so much to communicate with students and young scientists, believing that the future of law science is in their hands. The Vice-rector also paid attention that “human rights problematic issues not only do not lose the topicality, rather getting absolutely new and interesting dimensions. Formulating the topic of science discourse organizing committee tried to cover the whole human rights spectrum, regardless to generations and classifications”.
Greetings to the participants of the event were addressed by the PhD, Associate Professor, the Head of the Constitutional Law of Ukraine Department of Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University Tetyana M. Slinko.

«The second panel. Constitutional law evolution of human rights»; «The third panel. Theoretic-practical aspects of provision and protection of electoral rights»; «The fourth panel. Human rights in modern constitutions»; «The fifth panel. Public authorities in mechanism of human rights realization and protection in Ukraine» also took place during 26-27 October 2018.
A tour by the University, in particular in the new Educational-Library Corps, was organized for all participants.
There were represented, heard and appreciated scientific reports of representatives of the Jagiellonian University, Horodensk state university of Yanka Kupala Grodno State University, Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University, Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, National University of Kyiv-Mohylyansk Academy, Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, National University “Odessa Law Academy” , Institute of State and Law of V. Koretsky National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine,V. Karazin Kharkiv National University, Yuri Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University, Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, Oles Gonchar Dnepr National University, Dnepr State University of Internal Affairs, Dnepr Regional Institute of Public Administration of the National Academy of Public Administration under the President of Ukraine, Lviv State University of Internal Affairs, E. Didorenko Luhansk State University of Interior Affairs, Uzhgorod National University, other universities and scientific institutions at the Conference.
The results of the Conference were summed by PhD, Associate Professor, the Head of the Constitutional Law of Ukraine Department of Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University Tetyana M. Slinko, who expressed gratitude to all present and hopes for meeting during already ХІІ Todyka readings.
The participants were awarded with certificates for their active participation in the Conference.
