Conference Scientific Publications Digest
On the 2-3 of October 2015 the International Science Conference of Young Scientists, Researchers, Postgraduates and Students «Constitution as the fundamental of legal system development» (VIII Todyka’s readings) took place at the Yaroslav the Wise National Law University. The conference was organized by department of constitutional law of Ukraine of the the Yaroslav the Wise National Law University.
More then 110 participants from over 30 higher educational institutions and scientific establishments of Ukraine, Poland, USA, Belorussia, Russia took part in the conference.
Opened the plenary session the vice-rector for reasearch of the Yaroslav the Wise National Law University, doctor of law, professor, doctor of law, professor, academic of the NALS of Ukraine Anatoliy Hetman “conference dedicated to the memory of the outstanding scientist, scholar with a capital Yuriy Todyka, who for many years headed the Department of Constitutional Law, whose work, in fact, thanks to his efforts, acquired a qualitatively new content. In his scientific work Yuriy Todyka has taken steps not for decades but for centuries. And the issues to be addressed and discussed today is its scientific thought.”
Welcoming remarks to the participants of the Conference also addressed the vice-rector for academic affairs of the Yaroslav the Wise National Law University, doctor of law, professor, corresponding member of the NALS of Ukraine Yuriy Barabash. He congratulated the participants spoke about the unique character traits, teacher, mentor and interesting facts from the biography of Yuriy Todyka. Vice-rector said that Yuriy Todyka was one of the most famous and talented representatives of modern national jurisprudence, constitutionalism founder of a new direction and left us his School.
At the plenary meeting (on the 2nd of October) reported: associate professor of Constitutional Law of Ukraine Yaroslav the Wise National Law University Grygoriy Berchenko – “The Constitution as an act of constituent power”; associate professor of judicial and law enforcement authorities of the Yaroslav the Wise National Law University Olena Ovcharenko – “Constitutional and legal aspects of responsibility of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine judges,” student of Kiev National University named after Taras Shevchenko law faculty Andriy Matat – “The Constitution of Ukraine as the value of the legal system: questions of theory” and others.
On-line conference connection with the audience from the Denver, USA (Damir Salikhov) as well as with University of Arkansas School of Law, USA (Mark Opanasyuk) with the ability to communicate were organized.
For all participants was organized a tour by the University and Kharkiv city.
Sessions in five thematic sections were held during the second day of the conference (on the 3 of October). Scientific reports of the representatives University of Arkansas School of Law, Sturm College of Law of the University of Denver (USA), Jagiellonian University in Krakow (Poland), Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, Kyiv University of Law of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Institute of Law and State named after V.Koretskiy of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Lviv National University named after Ivan Franko, National University “Odesa’s Law Academy”, Research Institute of the State Building and Local Government, V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University and other higher educational establishments and scientific institutions were presented, heard and evaluated.
On the final plenary meeting reports of the heads of sections were heard and best reports were awarded. Results of the Conference were evaluated by the vice-rector for academic affairs of the Yaroslav the Wise National Law University, professor, corresponding member of the NALS of Ukraine – Yuriy Barabash.
